CancerCare Manitoba
Research Institute

CancerCare Manitoba (CCMB) needed a dedicated website to showcase its cancer research — a first for the organization. While CCMB has led cancer research in Manitoba since the 1930s, its work had never been clearly communicated to the public, donors, or the global research community.

We created a new site for the CancerCare Manitoba Research Institute, giving it a distinct but connected identity within CCMB. The design highlights research as integral to cancer care and makes the story accessible to patients, donors, policymakers, and researchers alike.

Key features include:

  • Human-centered visuals – images of researchers and patients in action, not static headshots.

  • Plain-language storytelling – approachable for the public while offering depth for scientific peers.

  • Flexible multimedia – strong use of video, photos, and social media integration.

  • Mobile-first design – with easy navigation and built-in content management for ongoing updates.

The new site raises CCMB’s research profile, helping attract funding, collaborators, and talent, while also building confidence among patients and donors. It presents CCMB research as both a local strength and a globally relevant force in cancer control.
